"In the Mood" is a rock song performed by English rock singer Robert Plant, from his 1983 album The Principle of Moments. It was released as a single and entered the Billboard Hot 100 on November 19, 1983, peaking at number 39. It was Plant's second top 40 single as a solo artist, following "Big Log", also from The Principle of Moments.[1] "In the Mood" also reached number 4 on the Billboard Top Tracks chart[2] and number 81 on the UK singles chart.[3]

"In the Mood" was written by Plant, guitarist Robbie Blunt and bassist Paul Martinez.[4] The drummer on the recording is Phil Collins.[5]
